Princess and the Pea

Wild thing here is sleeping in a big girl bed now. 

We finally moved passed the crib. Love the bed head look don't you?  

Instructions on how to put our princess down for bed:

1. Fun time in the splash zone also known as bath time
2. PJs, brush teeth, and act silly with Daddy. 
3. Kiss Mommy and Princess Sophia goodnight
4. Stories are chosen by your majesty.  The Princess reads two stories to herself before she will allow the Official reader( Daddy) to speak.
5. After a good time of reading Everyone Poops, Elmo does the ABC’s...We pray together for our friends and family. Reader prays first than the Princess. Usually goes like this: Heavenly father, be with Mommy, Daddy, Sophie (or sissy), anyone else that come to mind, Evan, Colson, and kids with no shoes(sole hope project mommy is working on)...In your precious name. AMEN.
6. Reader asks before getting into bed. Do you have to go potty? Are you sure? 
7. We approach the bed, get all tucked in: THE Blankie, the bright pink blanket, multi colored blanket, and her new comforter. It has to be in that order or the princess dost protest.  Her fine furry friends sir piggy and sir baby jaguar are invited to join her every night.
8. Daddy gives her a kiss on the head and destroys the (very pretend ) witches in the room with our handy killer witch spray found in our back pocket every time. We have to remember to shake the can first or else it doesn’t work.
9. The princess than needs a drink of water.
10. We kiss the head again begin to back out of the room feeling very accomplished
11. When we hear, I have to go potty.Potty... repeat some of the steps from above again.
12. Princess wants her hair stroked and to be sung to, Hush Little Baby don’t say a word.
13. Dim the lights as you walk out the room
14. Hear her say I love you all day or kisses being blown to you and you hold your breath that she really is ready to sleep now.
15. Five minutes later you will hear a drink request, a return of the witch, or a I have to go potty.
16. You know the princess is finally going down when she says, “Call me if you need, okay Daddy.”

Please be prepared to take an hour for this whole process.
