Bet Shean-Israel

This was a roman city went to go see while we were in Israel. It gave us a chance to see how they lived and how they differed from the Jewish community. This is the main street. They had sidewalks on either side and the street was slanted to run off any rain or blood that might flood the streets. The big hill is where the Egyptian town was. Jason walked all the way up there can you imagine? They had a really cool Roman theatre. This is what is would have looked like back then.
The view from the the large hill.
Red Light district and market.
Our group making their way up.
It was so neat to see this large city and gain the prospective of a wealthy roman bath houses and all.
