What God has been teaching me....
What is fear? What is anxiety? What is worry? And why as Christians do we suffer from them?
FEAR: 1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." This verse clearly shows us that fear is not from God. God's love is perfect and therefore it drives out fear. Psalm 34:9 “Fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing.”We are to fear only God! The fear of God dispels all other fears because God rules supreme over every other fear object. Neil Anderson
ANXIETY: Philippians 4:4-7 "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." THE BATTLE IS WON OR LOST IN THE MIND! It says that God's peace will guard not only our hearts but our minds as well!
WORRY: Psalm 55:22 “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.” 1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” Worry is a cycle of inefficient thoughts whirling around a center of fear. Corrie Ten Boom (CTB)Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow. It empties today of its strength. CTBWho are we? We are daughters of the King of Kings. But why don’t we act like it??? Luke 10: 41-42 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken from her.”We need to find rest in the Lord because we cannot go this tough road alone! He says he will never leave us nor forsake us because we are his child, his beloved, his bride! I am such a “doer for God.” I struggle to rest in my Savior and allow him to empty me of myself (worry wart, control-freak, anxiety stricken) so that he can then fill me with Himself. I can never do enough for God because God’s love for me is NOT BASED ON MY PERFORMANCE! Join me in falling down before our Savior and begging him to do what is necessary to make us more like him no matter the cost or sacrifice. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
I by no means have got this down but am learning each day to depend more and more on the author and perfector of our Faith.
This was written by a dear friend named Rachel. I love how God gives me friends that write to me and encourage me in my faith and just at the right time. With all the changes going on I needed to be reminded about what our holy father says to us about our emotions and how to handle such issues.
I hope this blog comes to you with grace and peace and reassurance that God is always with you and he has an everlasting kind of love.

The Peace of God guards our hearts and minds... The Greek word has the same root as for 'castle keep' - you know, the high stone wall before the enemy can ever reach the castle. It's not just one sentry standing guard! What a wonderful truth.
BTW we are very excited about meeting you and Jason in Farmington this weekend. God give you comfortable travel. Christina Fournier
